Essential Job Functions:
Analyze system problems and change requests Work with Business Analysts to define system requirements Design and document solutions Evaluate potential 3rd party solutions Develop solutions per department standards Make programming and other system changes per design Test all changes thoroughly Implement system changes Provide production support over a wide variety of applications including, but not limited to, web based applications and reporting tools Research reported issues, plan, propose and implement solutions Keep up with technology by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations Performance monitoring Production support rotation
Education/Experience Required:
AA or Tech degree plus 2 years relevant experience or BS/BA degree or 4 years relevant experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Java Programming Experience Java Swing API Experience in Programming Desktop Applications Oracle Database Knowledge and query experience XML & HTML knowledge Demonstrate ability to solve technical problems Broad knowledge of industry best practices and project management skills Demonstrate ability to investigate new functionality and make recommendations Knowledge of IIS and windows web services Microsoft SQL Server database and query experience Knowledge of .NET and Visual Basic Ability to mentor less experienced peers
