Salaried Non-Exempt General Description:
Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive; sort off-quality hogs for resale; count hogs.
Ensure proper animal handling to comply with company policy and USDA regulations.
Physically manipulate hogs using rattle paddle for moving into pens, tattoo chute and onto scale for weighing.
Have the ability to train on driving equipment (bobcat, skid steer).
Complete and deliver necessary paperwork.
Perform various other duties as needed or assigned.
Required skills:
Work 40
hours per week in hog yards/barns.
Environment is noisy, dusty, hot/cold temperatures, contains slippery floors.
Ability to visually assess weight and potential yield of hogs.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to physically maneuver among and manipulate live hogs.
Education Requirements (if applicable) High school diploma or GED equivalent.
College classes in animal science preferred.
Previous experience in dealing with hogs (breeds, market, handling, etc.
).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
