Emerson is hiring an entry level Firmware Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to grow, develop and expand your skills professionally while developing innovative technologies in a dynamic environment, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Position based in Marshalltown, Iowa location.
As a Firmware Engineer on the Sliding Stem team, you will be an integral member of a team designing and implementing new and innovative firmware and software for Fisher electric actuators and related products.
If interested, we would love to talk to you! AS A FIRMWARE ENGINEER, you will:
Develop firmware and software applications using standard methodologies on an Agile team Actively suggest, plan, and roadmap new features and functionality Independently solve and resolve technical support incidents Plan and coordinate activities to drive project progress and completion Assist with other project activities as assigned by management Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Knowledge of complete software development life cycle and QA processes in an Agile environment Experience in firsthand development and troubleshooting on embedded targets Expertise in C or C+
Understanding of C# and XAML Effective communicator with good people skills Demonstrated organizational abilities Understanding of sensor and wireless technologies preferred Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship approved.
Education / Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or similar discipline, or equivalent experience Previous internship in Embedded development experience / classroom experience in embedded development Demonstrated knowledge of firmware/software development and processes Work Authorization Emerson will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
